Position at a Glance

The candidate will have the distinct opportunity to work with a talented multicultural team of quantitative research professionals within Evalueserve Chile’s Financial Services division. They will be responsible for and gain experience in performing tasks and developing projects related to the development and maintenance of indices across asset classes, with a specific focus on fixed income, for a top U.S. investment bank’s Quantitative Strategies unit.

Responsibilities may include:

• Using and developing programming skills commonly used in financial markets

• Developing and maintaining the platform for the production of indices

• Resolving day-to-day issues associated with the maintenance and delivery of indices to clients

• Processing monthly performance reports

• Performing various data quality checks to ensure the quality of input for index calculations

• Performing monthly rebalances of indices

• Using and/or developing mathematical models required for research purposes

Required Qualifications

• Engineering degree (Finance, Commercial, or Business Administration)

• 1-5 years of relevant experience

• High level of technical skills in Excel and VBA

• Strong command of data manipulation techniques

• Good written and oral communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge or strong interest in capital markets, portfolio management, and finance

Technical skills in SQL and experience in programming using applications such as C# or Java
